At the Alberta School of Business, MBEL combines world-class research and innovative teaching in marketing, business economics, and business law. MBA programs
The U of A MBA equips students with in-depth business knowledge and leadership skills. With flexible career tracks and experiential learning, graduates gain expertise in areas like international business, marketing, and natural resource management. The 20-month program blends theory with real-world application to accelerate career growth.
PhD Program in Marketing
Our PhD program trains future academics in cutting-edge marketing research, specializing in consumer behavior, quantitative modeling, and strategy. Graduates contribute to top-tier journals and secure faculty positions at leading institutions worldwide.
Winter Term 2025
Practicum
BUEC 444 — International Study Tours
This course is a combination of on site study tours to a foreign country and academic coursework. The study tour component will normally be for a two to three week period, during which students will participate in company tours, lectures and language and cultural study to develop an appreciation for different business cultures and contexts. Upon return, students will be expected to complete a group project or case study relating to the business environment of the country under study.
